Mission Critical Cutover – Installing Network Redundancy in Minimum Time

Currently Eastman has two WirelessHART networks, each served by a single gateway. The data these networks deliver relates to Environmental systems at the site. Any missing data exposes Eastman to fines from Regulatory bodies, thus the importance of minimizing risk due to failure of the single gateway in either network This paper will discuss the steps Eastman and Emerson followed to effect a successful cutover in minimum time to reduce regulatory exposure.
